I wasn’t going to allow my lack of height or basketball skill stop me from fulfilling my dream of making it to the NBA. After graduating college, I began preparing for the draft. It started with the creation of a captivating hype trailer, cleverly incorporating prevalent narratives surrounding the NBA at that time, particularly focusing on the divisive presence of the Ball Family. This video generated both controversy among certain fans and enthusiasm among many others within the Facebook groups and Reddit threads where it was shared. I then created an official “delusionallakersfan” page and began producing content similar to popular sports journalism outlets. Additionally, I regularly posted live game reactions to enhance my ability to keep up with the fast-paced social media strategies employed by professional teams.
